I am thankful to God to have a few accomplishments that helped me stay on the right path since being on my own at 15 years old in NYC.
Some of my accomplishments include being a 2-time NYC Golden Gloves Champion in the Women's 119lb category, winning the first ever Women's National Amateur Boxing Championship, winning NY State Metro Games Championships, winning the first-ever International Games USA vs. Canada, and being the first female ever to be voted boxer of the year by the United States Olympic Committee.
In addition, I have run the NYC Marathon 10 times with a best time of 3:29 as well as competed in Adventure Races and Triathlons.
My top goals for the next year or two is to have a few more boxing amateur bouts and then give professional boxing a try. My dream is to also participate and complete an Ironman -hopefully at the Florida Ironman in November 2010.
I would love to find a service that will help me accomplish my ultimate goal of finishing my memoir. I have had a challenging past that has made a fighter out of me and I think it would help so many people.
I have been accepted to the University of North Carolina in Asheville (UNCA) for Fall 2009 & plan to get my Bachelor's Degree in Health & Wellness.
Last but not least, I would also love to continue to be in commercials and print ads. I was in a national gatorade commercial with Magic Johnson and it was so much fun! I was also in Law & Order, Criminal Intent and a 24hr fitness commercial among other things...
